Job Title: Payroll Manager

Reports To: Director of Corporate Accounting

Location: Alpharetta, GA (Hybrid)


We are looking for an experienced Payroll Manager to join our organization who will be responsible for processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions. Also you must ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planning, organizing, and implementation of process improvements.
  • Ensures payroll is being processed timely, accurately, and within company guidelines.
  • Ensures all key/internal controls are maintained.
  • Reviews and approves payroll and payroll audit trail for all employee file updates.
  • Maintains payroll system set ups and job codes in accordance with company policy.
  • Coordinates requests from auditors, internal, external and regulatory agencies.
  • Keeps current on technical developments in the field including payroll and tax regulations.
  • Develop reports and audits to increase efficiency and accuracy of payroll.
  • Ensure the development and maintenance of a process manual to ensure all activities are fully documented.
  • Act as liaison between ADP and internal partners to provide real time management of SLAs and system capabilities.
  • Ensures appropriate staffing to meet department needs.
  • Evaluates employee’s performance and plans for compensation actions in accordance with that performance.
  • Performs other related duties to benefit the mission/vision of the organization.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Certified Payroll Professional preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years payroll management experience (Workday, multi-entity provider experience preferred).
  • Leadership of a Payroll organization (selection, management, standards, and development).
  • Acquisitions experience.
  • ADP Workforce Now experience a plus.
  • A solid understanding of payroll process and tax filing.
  • Strong leadership skills and commitment to excellence.
  • Ability to multi-task and quickly prioritize.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
